Terms of Service
Effective July 18, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Mirage, a window and desktop streaming application developed by Ethan Lipnik ("we", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Mirage, you agree to these Terms.
1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Mirage on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
2. Mirage Pro Subscription
Certain features require an active Mirage Pro subscription. Subscriptions are billed through the App Store and are subject to Apple's subscription terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.
Free-tier usage is subject to limitations including non-Retina streaming, frame-rate caps, local media encryption limits, and restricted feature access as described in the app.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Mirage only for lawful purposes. You may not:
- Use Mirage to stream content you do not have the right to access or distribute
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
- Circumvent any technical limitations or security measures in the app
- Use Mirage in any way that interferes with other users or network infrastructure
- Redistribute, sublicense, or resell Mirage or any component of it
4. Privacy
Your use of Mirage is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
5. Support
Depending on the support rollout available to your app, Mirage either lets you create and track private in-app tickets or opens an email draft in your system mail app. In-app support can include conversations, attachments, optional ticket notifications, and linked resolutions or releases. Email support is transmitted and retained through your mail provider and Mirage's mailbox. Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis and does not guarantee a response time, resolution, or continued availability.
You are responsible for the content you submit and must have the right to provide it. Do not submit credentials, payment information, unlawful material, confidential information belonging to others, or unrelated personal data. You grant us permission to host, reproduce, analyze, and share submitted material with our service providers only as needed to operate support, investigate the issue, secure the service, and improve Mirage.
Access to each ticket is protected by an opaque capability stored by Mirage. You must not publish, transfer, probe, or misuse ticket capabilities or attempt to access another person's tickets. You may disable ticket notifications at any time.
When a release is published, Mirage removes live diagnostic data, uploaded attachments, correlation identifiers, cached integration links, and push registration data from tickets linked as fixed in that release. Minimal ticket conversations, resolutions, release links, and audit facts may remain. Backups and third-party provider records follow their own retention schedules.
6. Intellectual Property
Mirage and all associated trademarks, logos, and content are the property of Ethan Lipnik. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Mirage is provided "as is" and "as available" to the maximum extent permitted by law, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities. Streaming quality depends on your network conditions, device capabilities, and other factors outside our control. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights that apply in your country.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Ethan Lipnik shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Mirage. Our total liability for any claim related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app or subscription in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Mirage if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Mirage at any time by deleting the app from your devices.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Mirage after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the app or this page.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Mirage shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
12. Contact
For questions about these Terms, submit a private ticket through Mirage Support.
